13 Hits, 8 Walks, 6 Runs and THE GIANTS LOSE

And Buster Posey gets 2 hits and "LOWERS" his batting average to .444 incredible !

The Giants lost starting pitcher Todd Wellemeyer after going 2 complete innings allowing no runs. Wellemeyer left with a strained quadracept muscle. (thigh) and handed his 4 to 0 lead over to Denny Bautista. After a 5 hit, 4 run barrage by Cincinatti in the bottom of the 3rd, Bautista settled down in the 4th and retired the side.

Romo and Cassilla would hold the Reds scoreless as The Giants put up a run in the 5th and one more in the 7th.

Enter Guillermo Moto.

The Giants not only lose their 2 run lead in one inning but Moto allows the go ahead run to score from third Blowing the save/Win all in the 8th. Mota gave up 4 hits, 3 Runs all earned in one inning of work. He earned his 2nd Blown save.

I don't know this for sure, but it appears the Giants are having problems in the clubhouse. Bochy has had a different catcher behind the plate every night this week with the exception of tonight. (Whiteside caught) Molina who is making 4.5 million dollars this year is sitting on the bench with his .052 BA for the last 54 at bats. It was good to see Panda bear get a couple of hits today. Unlike Posey, Panda's average went up with the 2 hits to .280 while Posey's dropped to .444 .

There is no reason why a team with this kind of talent should lose a game after getting 13 hits, 8 walks and 6 runs. I would love to know what is going on in the bull pen.

In the other dugout, it's interesting to see the rookie sensation Mike Leake give up 5 unusual runs in 4.1 innings.

The Giants should be happy to get out of Cinci with a split.
